  1. Hi, Shant – Interesting vote there on the e-cigs.

Hey, I need a student ID for an event happening over the Summer. 1 When will student IDs become available for next year (This year’s ID won’t do me much good -I’m too late to benefit from it for a school year.
I’m hoping the 2014-2015 ID is up for sale this week.
    2. An IDea (pardon the play on words, lol) – I noticed that thisrecent years ID sale was down so far that the Student Gov ran out of money for certain “normally-funded” projects. How about a mid year reduction – or a prorated reduction in fees for a late purchase? Like $10 after mid-term and $5 for the last 2 weks of school (A student ID is REQUIRED for certain classes to graduate (per a recent article in the Telescope -the student was kind of upset about that).
    3. Its nearly impossible to find a place on the Palomar website that gives any info on purchasing an ID. It should be the EASIEST thing to find. (Just sayin’).
    (I haven’t found it yet) – will keep looking…..

Maybe I will get a bit more involved this coming year if my class load isn’t too much.

    1. Hello Tim,

Thanks for your comment on the asg website:) Here are responses in corresponding order.

      1) Summer activity cards are on sale now online in your eServices account. You pick them up in SU-202. If you do not know how to order one I’m happy to help with the process. Fall Cards will not be available until summer session is over.

      2) the funds from the activity card are not related to the student government in any way. We do not own any of the funds, it is a program organized by the OSA and the student activities office and they are the ones who oversee the distribution. The OSA is also the organization that ran short on funding, it was not the ASG. We have spent in accordance with our budget and have a reserve fund that has savings in it. The asg has no power over the funds from the student activity card. If you want to know more about the student activity card funds Or make suggestions you can contact the OSA at x7509/x2594 or

      3) The link you seek to learn more is . You can access this link on the asg website on our “resources” page under “student activities office” or on the OSAs Palomar website.

      4) I hope you do get involved:) please don’t hesitate to contact any of us for further questions or how to join!! :)

      5) our asg website I brand new and we just posted it a few weeks ago:) we have the main stuff but please know that there is still A LOT we plan on adding. It will continue to grow and become a better resource for students. If you want to meet and talk more about it I’m happy to.
