President Genesis Gilroy
Genesis has been at Palomar since 2009 and is majoring in Communications and minoring in Political Science. She will be transfering to UCSD in fall 2014 for her undergraduate. Following that she will pursue a graduate degree at Stanford. Her hobbies include tent camping, hiking, scuba diving, reading, journalistic writing, and graphic design. She aspires to be a future congressional senator.
Sentator Shant Soghomonian
Shant has been at Palomar College since summer 2013. He is majoring in environmental studies looking to transfer to Cal Poly SLO. Prior to this year he traveled around the US and other parts of the world working as a maintance technician for various government programs. His hobbies include riding and working on motorcyles, watching movies, and traveling.
Senator Reza Nemovi
Reza is the resident “smart guy” within the ASG. Majoring towards becoming an Aeronautical Engineer, Sen. Nemovi’s passions revolve around private flight and radio controlled aircraft.
Senator Carlos Araujo
Carlos is in his 3rd year at Palomar College majoring in neuroscience and minoring in music. He would like to transfer to UCSD, in hopes of pursuing med school after undergrad. His hobbies include hiking, biking, rock climbing, playing piano, listening to opera, and traveling. He is the treasurer of Active Minds. He is on the ASG’s LEAC and PPER; he is also the financial liason and Palomar’s own region X representative.
Senator Katelyn Morikawa
Katelyn is in her 2nd year here at Palomar. She has been a member of Phi Theta Kappa since last year, and she was looking to get more involved on campus, and impact other students. Being a Business Economics major, she plans on transferring after this year to a UC. Senator Morikawa is on the Legislative and External Affairs Committee, the Campus Police Committee, and the Basic Skills Committee. She loves meeting new people and trying new things.
Senator Salvador Orozco
Salvador has been a senator for ASG for several years now.He is on the LEAC Committee, PR, and various other campus-wide committee. His major is criminal justice hoping and he is a campus police student worker.
