  The Palomar College Fire Academy is designed to train and equip cadets to meet State of California Fire Marshal, Fire Fighter 1 Academy Standards. Fire fighter curriculum is presented in a condensed, 13-week format totaling over 576 training hours. Attendees will receive 18 college credits that may be applied toward an Associate in Arts, Fire Science degree.**
