I remember back when I started taking classes in the GC department just to learn how to print T-shirts and create cool designs. Classes were held in the "temporary" portable trailers that had been there for 25 years but we made the best of the educational experience despite the conditions. One of my mottos in life is always strive to be a part of the solution, and not just another addition to the problem. I was always helping other GC students with software and project questions and in the process solidifying the lessons that I had learned. As we start another academic year, I would like to extend each of you a huge welcome and encourage you to make the most of your time here at Palomar College and especially that spent in Graphic Communications. Our department has grown immensely over the years in the expanse of our course offerings, technological advancements and depth of quality instruction. One of our goals is to prepare students to compete successfully in the industry. Our staff and instructors are very thankful to help you out in achieving that goal and blessed to have each of you as part of our program.
