Foundations of Graphic Communications
Certificate of Achievement

This program introduces foundational graphic communications concepts for careers in print production for publishing, digital design and authoring for web development, and video and sound production and editing for motion graphics. The program is a multidisciplinary approach to develop a strong foundation in the creative processes and technologies used by the graphic communications industry. The program offers a valuable perspective through core terminology, essential procedures and processes, equipment, and industry standards. The program will prepare students for entry in our industry as generalists or managers as well as benefit technical communicators, administrators, public relations practitioners, educators, sales and marketing staff, and technical and business professionals. Additionally, students planning to transfer to a 4-year institution will benefit from this program.
