Construction Inspection Career Pathways
The construction inspection program offers a career path for students interested in becoming a permit clerk, assistant building inspector, building, plumbing or mechanical inspector and a plan checker or plans examiner. The courses are directly related to providing students a path to certification and employment.
- Permit Clerk (no experience) $13-18 per hour
- Building Inspector (beginning) $22-29 per hour
- Plan Checker (experienced) $25-30 per hour
- Senior Inspector (experienced) $26- 35 per hour
