(Luiseño: ‘Hello, come on in!’)
Welcome to the Palomar College American Indian Studies/American Studies Department website. American Indian Studies offers courses that cover Native American cultures from ancient times until the present. Our academic approach is holistic and multi-disciplinary. This includes archaeology, history, humanities, ethnology, sociology, and political science. Each of these in their applied perspectives contribute to knowledge relevant to cultural and political influence of American Indian people on the nation and the world. The American Indian Studies Department also includes the American Studies Program at Palomar College.
