Animation in PowerPoint

One of the strengths of PowerPoint is its ability to animate objects. This workshop will explore animation in depth. We will animate a sample presentation, with focus on the skills of using appearance, emphasis, and disappearance effects. Workshop participants should be familiar with basic techniques used to create slides, such as is taught in the Building Basic PowerPoint Presentations workshop.

In this workshop you will create a video from a PowerPoint presentation using the tools built-in to PowerPoint. We will provide the presentation and script for you to narrate during the workshop. We will discuss methods of making the video available to your students, including options for student access via Blackboard.

PowerPoint Narrated Slides to Online Mix Tutorials

In this workshop you will create an online tutorial capable of posting grades back to a Blackboard course, based on narrated slides from your PowerPoint presentation. Using the free Office Mix add-in to PowerPoint, you can intersperse narrated slides delivering information with quiz questions to aid student retention. Workshop participants should be familiar with the technique of narrating slides, such as is taught in the PowerPoint Slides to Videos workshop.
