Academic Technology Computer Labs

Welcome to the Lab

The computer labs on the ground floor of the San Marcos campus library are open to current, actively registered students.  You must login using your nine-digit student ID as username and your eServices password.  If you are not a currently registered student, please use the computers on the second floor of the library.

Student Computer Lab Operating Hours
Monday – Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Closed Sundays and District Holidays

The labs are intended to be a place that students can work on academic assignments, projects and research.  Anyone disturbing the order or safety of the labs will be asked to leave.  To keep our labs safe and convenient, we require that you follow these rules:
  • Students must follow the Palomar College Student Code of Conduct
  • Individual students must give preference to class use of the labs.
  • Students must not attempt to boot from external devices or install software not already installed on the lab workstations.
  • Internet users must agree to some additional rules.  By using these computers you have agreed to abide by all lab rules.

Please be aware that computer monitors in the lab will “lock” after 15 minutes of inactivity and invoke a screen saver.  You will have to login again after the screen is locked, but your work will still be as it was.  Be sure to at least move the mouse pointer frequently enough to prevent the screen from locking while watching lengthy videos.
