Palomar College, through the Business Administration Department, is a Certiport Authorized Testing Center (CAT) for the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) and the QuickBooks Certified User (QBCU) certifications.
Certiport Tests are administered Monday through Thursday 1-4 p.m. Please call (760) 744-1150 x2496 to schedule an appointment. There is a $15 proctoring fee (payable at the Cashier’s Office). This fee is in addition to the MOS Voucher purchased from Certiport. A picture I.D. is required.

QUICKBOOKS CERTIFIED USER (QBCU)
Bookkeeping in the 21st Century requires more than knowledge of GAAP or an eye for detail—students need relevant computing skills. Intuit QuickBooks, the industry leader in managerial accounting software for small business, provides an easy-to-understand platform for students to grasp accounting concepts while honing skills in the most prevalent bookkeeping application in small business today. Students can validate their QuickBooks knowledge by becoming an Intuit QuickBooks Certified User (QBCU).
BUS 205 PLACEMENT TEST
The test consists of 50 multiple choice questions. It can be taken one time per semester. It is recommended that you review the BUS 125 text, College English and Communication by Sue Camp, on reserve at the Palomar College Library. Practice quizzes are available at syntaxis.com. In addition, an exam preview (PDF) can be downloaded.
The test can be taken on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 8:30-11:30 a.m. in MD-341. Please call (760) 744-1150 x2489 to make a reservation. Results are given immediately after taking the test.
