The Palomar College Emergency Medical Education Department is also an AHA Training Center as approved by the American Heart Association (AHA). EME teaches to the AHA 2010 guidelines.

CPR courses are offered monthly on the second Thursday evening of every month at the Palomar College Escondido Center. The courses are completed in two stages.
The first stage to completing the CPR training is to complete the online portion of the CPR course. You can visit the OnlineAHA web site and register for the BLS For Healthcare Providers Part 1. Once completed, print out the completion certificate to attend the second part of the course. The cost of this portion of the CPR course is $22.00.
The second stage of the courses is to one of the following courses for a fee of $40.00 where the skills portion of the CPR course will be taught. The fee is payable to the Escondido Center Cashier.
