Certificate of Proficiency requirements are designed to certify basic workplace competencies for students who are entering the workforce. These certificates consist of programs that are less than 18 total units. Certificates of Proficiency are not awarded at the Palomar College Commencement, nor are they posted on official transcripts.
You will receive an email once your evaluation has been completed. This email will include a notification of approval or denial status, a copy of your degree/certificate evaluation, and further explanation, if necessary. You should expect an email from the Evaluations office sometime during the semester in which you applied for graduation. We begin posting degrees and certificates to transcripts approximately four to six weeks after the semester ends.
If you have been approved for graduation, your diploma/certificate will be mailed to the address listed on your Application for Graduation approximately two to three months after the semester ends. Please notify the Evaluations office if you have changed your mailing address to ensure that your diploma and/or certificate is mailed to the correct address.
You may always contact the Evaluations office if you have further questions about graduation.
The Evaluations office at Palomar College encourages all graduating students to attend commencement. Commencement is held once a year in the middle of May. You can visit the Palomar College Student Affairs Office for more information about commencement.
