Military Connection

Serving those who serve the nation since 1946

  • Welcome

A Letter from the President

Since our beginning in 1946, Palomar College has a tradition of meeting the educational needs of the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who selflessly serve our nation.

Our very existence is rooted in the post World War II veterans who used their G.I. Bill benefits to fulfill their dreams for a better life. Both Dr. Daniel McNaughton, the College’s first president, and Daniel Hoff, the first student, came to Palomar directly from military service.

From Korea to Vietnam, the first Gulf War, 9/11, and today’s ongoing battle to protect our country from danger, the American military and their families have always been here for us. We at Palomar College always have been, and always will be, here for you.

Robert P. Deegan

Superintendent/President
