Jane Thurston finished her Master’s Degree in what was then called Home Economics in 1984 and taught Fashion Merchandising at Utah State University for 5 years. She has also worked in the commercial fashion industry including an internship at Barney’s New York flagship store in New York City. After moving to San Diego Jane taught courses at FIDM and at San Diego State University. Since 1998 she has taught Fashion courses as well as Family Dynamics at Palomar College in San Marcos, California. Jane has been married for 24 years and rasied 3 children. Both careers she has enjoyed very much.
