Please note, effective September 1, 2013, Service Provider contracts will no longer be used for employment. Guidelines on how to proceed with paying services previously paid on Service Provider contracts are listed below.
Academic – Faculty (full time or part time) providing educational services will use a Notice of Hourly Employment (NOHE).
Classified – Full time Classified employees providing services in addition to their normal work schedule will be paid overtime or compensatory time.
Students – Student workers are paid hourly. Hours worked are subject to the hours per week limit as stated in the Student Hiring Regulations on the Student Employees website.
Short-terms – Short-term workers are paid hourly. Hours worked are subject to the 26 hours per week limit and the 160-day limit per fiscal year. Please refer to the Short-term Hiring Regulations on the Short-term Employees website.
Non-Employees – Independent Contractors – Please visit the Business and Contract Services website at www.palomar.edu/businessservices/default.html for guidelines and to obtain an Independent Contractor Agreement.
