SANTA CATALINA ISLAND: Offered during Spring Break, March 15-18; 32 hours, arranged with instructors. Class number: 33746

A fee of $270 is required. Students who cancel on or before February 19 will receive a full refund. After that date there will be no refunds. The fee will cover ferry transportation to the island, lodging, and kayak rental.

BIOL 195A FIELD STUDIES/NATURAL HISTORY (1.0 unit); 32 hours, arranged with instructors. Class number: 50905

This course is a field course and students will meet instructors at designated locations and proceed to other locations throughout the day of each field trip. Students will be expected to provide their own transportation and be able to hike distances up to three miles. The class will have a mandatory orientation on Tuesday, May 20, in room NS-217 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. where the locations of the field trips will be discussed as well as material that relates to the content of the class. Our field trip dates are as follows: May 27; June 3 and June 10. We will be in the field from 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. on each of those days and drive as many as 120 miles over the course of the day.
