Commencement is an occasion which brings a great sense of accomplishment. Palomar College is a learning community dedicated to achieving student success and cultivating a love of learning. Through the efforts and teamwork of our Faculty, Staff, Students and Administration, Commencement is the celebration of that learning and success and an opportunity to recognize the academic achievements of our graduates. Many students have overcome great obstacles and persevered in reaching their academic goals and are to be commended for their efforts.
On behalf of Palomar College, we would like to congratulate and encourage all of our Summer and Fall 2012 graduates, and Spring 2013 candidates to participate in our 2013 Commencement Ceremony which will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. Students who are receiving certificates and/or are transferring are qualified and encouraged to walk in the Commencement Ceremony as well.
Students walking in the ceremony should arrive at the Dome at 3:30 with their cap and gown. Since the ceremony is on the football field, low heel shoes are recommended. Students should have family or friends hold their personal belongings until the ceremony has ended.
There is no limit on the number of guests who wish to attend. Seating is not reserved and tickets are not required. Parking lots 1 and 2 are reserved for special guests. All other parking lots may be used by students and guests at no cost. A small reception will follow the ceremony on the football field by the goal posts.
Please remind your guests, Palomar College is tobacco-free campus.
