Cabaret – Mar 7-16

Book by Joe Masterhoff
Lyrics by Fred Ebb
Music by John Kander

It’s 1931 and anything goes with young singer Sally Bowles and the outcasts and deviants who populate Germany’s outrageous Kit Kat Club. Loaded with provocative dance and driven by a truly human story, this ten-time Tony Award winning musical features classic songs like Wilkommen, Don’t Tell Mama, The Money Song, Tomorrow Belongs to Me, and, of course, Cabaret. Step inside!

Directed by Pat Larmer
Friday, Saturday, 7pm; Sunday, 2pm; Thursday, 4pm (followed by Coffee Talk)
Howard Brubeck Theatre
Special pricing: $16 General, $14 Seniors and Staff, $10 Students

Plus: Don’t miss Coffee Talk following Thursday’s Cabaret performance! “Cabaret (1966-present): How the Musical Stays Relevant” Nearly 50 years since the musical’s debut on Broadway, Cabaret is still one of the most popular, engaging, and topically relevant musicals performed across the globe. Running against the grain for the genre, this musical, with its pointed political satire and bawdy cabaret numbers, tackles one of the darkest periods of the twentieth century head-on in a story that offers an ever-relevant moral tale for the current audience. Come watch our matinee performance then stay for an after-show discussion with free refreshments, to learn more about this theatre masterpiece and its unique history!
