Arthur Golden was introduced to the guitar at age 12. Inspired by the Blues, American Folk and Ragtime, he traveled to area festivals and competitions. At age 18, he developed a passion for the classical guitar and studied under the famous classical guitarists Celin and Pepe Romero. Under their tutelage he excelled as a concert guitarist, receiving a masters in music/guitar performance from San Diego State University. He has concertized throughout the Southwestern United States, Southern California and Mexico. Arthur is a professor at Palomar College and teaches privately at his residence in Escondido. He organized and directed the 2007 Palomar College Acoustic Guitar Festival, incorporating classical training with American fingerstyle, ragtime and blues technique.
