Bob Boss is a jazz guitarist with experience in a variety of styles. Bob began playing rock & roll in junior high school at dances and parties, eventually working up to night clubs, concerts, shows, and musical theatre. Bob studied under Jerry Hahn, Bobby Addison and Davis Ramey. Bob has played numerous festivals and concerts including Wolf Trap, Idyllwild, Pine Knob, Ravinia, Winter Park, San Diego Street Scene, and several in Europe. He has performed with a diverse array of artists and groups, such as Daniel Jackson, the San Diego Symphony (Pops), Dave Pike, Marguerita Page, Mike Wofford, Herb Jeffries, Eddie Harris, Richie Cole, Harry Pickens, and more. Bob has also recorded with a great many jazz and pop artists and has appeared on such television programs/stations as the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, CNN, CBS This Morning, Entertainment Tonight, and national shows in France, Holland and Belgium. Bob has taught at UCSD, Palomar College, SDSU, and Idyllwild Arts. He has given many public school performances/lectures and has countless private students. Bob earned an MA in Humanities from CSU Chico in 1975.
