Heather Barclay is a professional percussionist and has been performing and teaching since 1984. Ms. Barclay earned her Bachelor of Arts, Performance and Certification of Music Education at The University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, WI and her Master of Fine Arts in Performance at United States International University in San Diego, CA. Her instructors include: Raynor Carroll, Principal Percussionist, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Linda Raymond Siegal, Assistant Principal Percussionist, Milwaukee Symphony, Tele Lesbines, Tympanist, Milwaukee Symphony and Stanley Finck Percussion Professor, University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. Ms. Barclay is a freelance percussionist and timpanist in Southern California. She has performed with the International Chamber Players, the Teeny Tiny Pit Orchestra, the San Diego Symphony Orchestra, the San Diego Chamber Orchestra, the International Symphony Orchestra of Tijuana, the Tijuana Opera Orchestra, the San Diego Comic Opera, San Francisco Ballet, International Orchestra, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Civic Orchestra, Moraine Symphony Orchestra and the Lake Geneva Opera Festival. Ms. Barclay is also a private instructor of percussion and timpani. She has been teaching since 1984. She is currently teaching at Palomar College, Mesa Verde Middle School and privately in the San Diego area.
