Mary Jaeb, Soprano, is an exciting and dynamic performer who has graced many a stage both home and abroad. Whether she is singing classical or contemporary, audiences have been captivated by the power and heart-throbbing emotion of her distinctive voice as well as her natural beauty.
Early in her career, Ms. Jaeb sang gospel and sacred music to scores of audiences throughout the United States and Canada. As she developed her musical talent, she ventured to Japan and Korea as an ambassador of American song. She charmed Asian listeners to such great composers as Gershwin and Bernstein.
Expanding her repertoire, Ms. Jaeb has become an accomplished classical singer as well. She has performed for the Central City Opera in Colorado, Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Natchez Opera Festival in Mississippi, San Diego Young Artists Symphony Orchestra, and the Colorado Lryic Opera. Other concert performances include, The Christmas Oratorio (Saint-Saens), Mass in D Minor (Haydn), Gloria (Poulenc), The Creation (Haydn), Symphony No. 3 (Gorecki), and The Coronation Mass (Mozart). She was the featured soloist for the Cabrillo Chamber Orchestra and The La Jolla Chamber orchestra performing the Messiah. Some of her operatic roles include, Abigail in The Crucible, Hanna in The Merry Widow, and Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte.
When Ms. Jaeb is not performing, she is busy teaching at Palomar College. She also trains future singers in her private studio in Vista, Ca. She has earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in vocal performance at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Her honors include being a Metropolitan Opera regional Finalist and a Denver Lyric Opera Guild Finalist. Her numerous vocal awards include the Norris Graduate Performance Award and the Berton Coffin Vocal scholarship award.
