About Concert Hour

Concert Hour is a music enrichment series presented for our students and the community by the Palomar College Performing Arts Department. There is no charge for admission. Concerts take place Thursdays in the Performance Lab (D10) or in the Howard Brubeck Theatre (check individual listings). Doors open at 12:20, with seating on a first-come first-served basis. The program begins at 12:30 and ends at 1:20.  At the discretion of the house manager, late arrivals will be admitted during the first performance pause. Campus police can provide patrons coming from off campus with guest parking passes and give directions to legal parking areas. Patrons are urged to allow sufficient time to secure parking and reach the performance venue before the concert begins. Palomar College is located at 1140 W. Mission Rd. in San Marcos. 10. 30              Rob and Amber Whitlock

It’s been too long since these two have graced the Concert Hour Stage! Rob, a fabulous keyboardist, will roll in a real Hammond B3 organ and Amber will sing soulfully in its presence. They will be joined by on drums by the ubiquitous Duncan  Moore. (Performance Lab)

11. 06              Danny Holt                                                    

Pianist Danny Holt performs Mozart’s charming and playful Sonata in F Major, K. 332, Mendelssohn’s Variations sérieuses, Op. 54 (composed as a tribute to Beethoven), Busoni’s epic transcription of Bach’s seminal Chaconne in d minor, and a selection of  contemporary works by Mike Garson (a Los Angeles-based pianist and composer known for his work with David Bowie and other rock and pop luminaries).
