  1. Great workshop! I didn”t know it was really only for teachers and how they can make LGTBQ students more comfortable in their classes, but it was eye opening anyway. Made me realize how much I look at everything from a heterosexual point of view, and that in order to be a at least moderately considerate person, I should try to see the world from the LGBTQ community”s perspective also. Avoiding saying things like “that”s gay” in the classroom like I would avoid saying racial slurs is just plain consideration, and yet just isn”t something I ever thought about before.
