STEM Ambassador Program

The purpose of the STEM Ambassador program is to encourage K-12 students to be aware of the opportunities available in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM Ambassadors lead a variety of activities at local schools within the Palomar College District in an effort to inspire students to pursue STEM college opportunities.

Duties:  Under the direction and immediate supervision of the STEM Outreach Coordinator and/or STEM Staff, STEM Ambassadors are expected to go to school sites to conduct demonstrations and give informational presentations related to science, technology, engineering, and math fields. STEM Ambassadors can work between 4 and 8 hours per week; scheduling will be very flexible.
