Your opinion matters…speak up!

Whether you’d like to share your opinion on an article published by The Telescope, or even if you have a passion for writing and just want to share your thoughts- Palomar students are encouraged to write letters to the editor.

There is of course a distinct difference between writing to the paper, and writing for the paper – but depending on your skill level, your chance of being

published is just as great as any. Just email your letter (300 words or less) to EDITOR@THE-TELESCOPE.COM.

To be considered you’ll need to include your full name, major, and a phone number where you can be reached. Don’t worry, your phone number is not going to be published, but you might be contacted for further details.

Open letters to the editor share a fresh perspective as well as constructive criticism; which lends the staff writers at the paper another chance to improve their methods and develop their passion. This also means that aspiring writers and students considering the path of journalism, have a chance to show off their writing skills – so everybody wins!

For those who would like to mail in your letter, please remit to: 1140 W. Mission Rd.San Marcos, CA 92069 Newsroom: MD-228, Academic Office: Q-8. The Telescope also welcomes visitors.

Further details on joining The Telescope staff of writers can be found by visiting: HTTP://WWW2.PALOMAR.EDU/PAGES/JOURNALISM/FAQ.
