  • March is TB Awareness Month! – The Health Services Centers invite you to stop by our booth today to get information about Tuberculosis, Immunizations, and requirements for UC/CSU transfer. To schedule an appointment for immunizations, please call the Health Center at (760) 744-1150, extension 2380. – 11am, SU-Quad

 

Wednesday, March 4, 2015:

  • Grab N’ Go Event! – Find the traveling green cart, check out upcoming events and enjoy a free snack with your Spring 2015 Student Activities Card (while supplies last). Hosted by the Office of Student Affairs. 10am, SU Cart
  • The Happy Challenge! – Find the traveling green cart, tell us what makes you happy today and enjoy a free snack with your Spring 2015 Student Activities Card (while supplies last). Hosted by the Office of Student Affairs. 4pm, SU Cart
  • Free HIV Testing – Free & confidential HIV testing is provided by Vista Community Clinic and all participants will receive an incentive! The Health Centers also provide appointments for women’s and men’s health, birth control, pregnancy tests, breast exams and more! Please call to make an appointment: (760) 744-1150, extension 2380. – 3pm-6:30pm, Health Services Center (HC building)
  • Resume 1 Workshop – These workshops will be interactive with hands-on experience in creating a Resume, Cover Letter and adding a resume online by creating a LinkedIn profile. You will be ready to apply for jobs upon completing the workshop series. – 2pm, SU-17 (Career Center)

  • Hoop it Up! – Bring your game and win free lunch! Sign up in a bracket of 5 students, shoot free throws for 1 minute each (5 minute brackets) and top score wins free lunch! Hosted by the Office of Student Affairs. – 11am-12pm, SU Quad
  • Concert Hour: Michelle Law & Danielle Perrault – Soprano Michelle Law and mezzo-soprano Danielle Perrault return to their alma mater to share opera favorites and a few lesser-known gems. Featured will be arias and duets by Mozart, Bizet, Tchaikovsky and more! – 12:30pm, D-10 Performance Lab

 

Friday, March 6, 2015:

  • Comma Rules: A Free ESL Workshop – “There is a comma missing.” “Don’t be a comma-happy student!” If you have heard your teachers make such comments to you, you can benefit from attending this free workshop hosted by an ESL tutor. You will learn the correct usage of commas in standard written English. Your paper will become clearer and easier for your readers to understand. – 11am, H-118 (ESL Computer Lab)

Saturday, March 7, 2015:

  • Math Success While Reducing Anxiety Workshop (ESCONDIDO CAMPUS) – This is a free workshop. Math anxiety is a learned behavior that can be changed. This workshop is taught by math and counseling professors. Parking permit required.   • Concert Hour: Patton & Sprague – “Freedom is one of the perks of being a duo,” guitarist Peter Sprague wrote as he and vocalist Leonard Patton prepared this performance. “We frequently start one song, make up some new sonic material, create some loops and then attempt a safe landing in another aural vista.” Look for jazz, samba, Americana and music from The Beatles! – 12:30pm, D10 (Performance Lab)
