Palomar’s softball continued their stretch of amazing performances last week. The state’s No. 2 ranked team shelled Mt. San Jacinto 8-0 on Wednesday, March 11. Pitcher Kristina Carbajaj threw a one-hitter in the run-ruled game as she improved her record to 3-0. Offensively, the team put together 15 hits as Iesha Hill and Summer Evans each went 2-2.

Friday saw the Comets play host to Grossmont College and again the mercy rule was needed as Palomar defeated the Griffins 11-2 in the PCAC matchup.
Shortstop K.K. Fonda hit a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth to force the early ending. The sophomore went 3-4 with the HR, a triple, four RBI’s, and two runs scored.
Saturday’s scheduled contest at home vs. Grossmont was cancelled at the request of the Grossmont coach.
