Fire club hosts blood drive

Palomar students lined up and waited for the opportunity to give blood at the Red Cross Blood Drive Feb. 11-13. The blood drive, ran by the Palomar Fire Club, collected 193 units of blood during the three-day event. According to Wilfred Salazar, deputy chief of the Fire Club, “each pint of blood saves 3 lives,” which adds up to about 579 lives.
