David Forsyth's
Teaching Methods
- Teaching Techniques:
- Lecture / Discussion with Overhead Transparencies
- Some Infrequent Break-out Group Discussion (however, this normally does not occur until
a class possesses a knowledge of the essential basics)
- Videos Covering Current Events and Real-Life Applications of Theory Discussed in Class
- Lab Courses Are Hands-on with Lecture Interspersed Periodically
- Student Evaluation Involves:
- Graded Exercises and Problems
- Research Projects
- Announced Quizzes (no make-ups, but the low quiz score for the semester will be dropped)
- Multi-Chapter Exams
- Comprehensive Exams
- Student Attendance (if you are not in class you can neither benefit from the experiences
of others or provide others with the benefit of your experiences)
- Completion of All Assignments in a Timely Manner (in the business world, time is money
and/or opportunity loss)
