Dewi Donalyn Hokett has followed in the
footsteps of her mother, Professor Norene Hokett at California Baptist
University who has taught public address courses as well as coach the award
winning forensics team for many years. Professor
Hokett received an Associates Degree from Riverside Community College in 1989,
and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and Drama from California Baptist
University in 1992. She completed a
Master of Arts Degree in Theatre Theory and Criticism from California State
University, Fullerton in 1995.
Professor
Hokett has had the pleasure of teaching on a variety of college campuses
including Los Angeles City College, Citrus College, Riverside Community College,
Glendale Community College, Cerritos College and Irvine Valley College.
She has been affiliated with several award winning forensics teams
including Cerritos, Los Angeles City, Irvine Valley, and Los Angeles Valley
Colleges. She is been the Assistant
Director of Forensics at Cerritos College, Los Angeles Valley College, and South
Orange County. She is proud to have
been a part of the coaching staff during the year 1999-2000 year at South Orange
County when the team won the Phi Rho Pi National Championship.
Currently, Professor Hokett enjoys her role as the Director of the
Palomar Forensics Team. She also teaches courses in Public Speaking,
Interpersonal Communication and Oral Communication of Literature.
