Questions:

1.       Landslides play a significant role in shaping the Big Sur Coast.  List and discuss several factors that contribute to the frequency of landslides along this coast.  Note:  The term “landslides” is used very loosely to describe many types of mass wasting.

2.       Describe what happened to the sea otter population.  Explain how the population was able to rebound.  Include any possible issues that might limit the return of the sea otter population to original levels.

3.       Briefly describe the type of rocks at Pinnacles National Monument.  Explain the significance of these rocks in determining the history of the San Andreas Fault.

4.       List and describe three landforms that you saw associated with the surface expression of the San Andreas Fault.
