Announcements 

• You will need a Course ID to access the Lecture Outline and Study Guide at the Course Compass website that must be purchased from the bookstore.  The course ID is sourbeer84754, Palomar's zip code is 92069.

• Read the syllabus for directions on how to access the General Biology Lecture Outline and Study Guide.

• There are a limited number of exams, limited seating for testing at the Tutoring Center in the library, AND we are certainly not the only classes taking exams there.  It is your responsibility to take exams and turn in assignments well in advance of the deadlines.  If you show up the last day, you may be waiting a considerable time to take an exam, and you may not be able to complete an exam before the Tutoring Center closes.  Waiting until the last minute to take an exam, and not being able to complete an exam before the Tutoring Center closes, will NOT be grounds for an "exception" to the deadlines stated above.

• The exams are available at the Tutoring Center on the first floor of the San Marcos campus library.  Be sure to bring a Palomar or picture ID.  The Tutoring Center hours are available at http://www.palomar.edu/tutoring/.

• The Tutoring Center has confirmed its operational schedule for the fall 2009 term.

  From August 24^th through December 19^th the hours will be:

  • ü  Mondays: 9am – 8pm

  • ü  Tuesdays through Thursdays: 9am – 5pm

  • ü  Fridays: 9am – 1pm

  • ü  Saturdays: 9am – 12pm

  Additionally, please mind our department closures:

  • ü  Saturday, Sept. 5 - Monday, Sept. 7: Labor Day

  • ü  Friday, Nov. 13 – Saturday, Nov. 14: Veterans Day

  • ü  Thursday, Nov. 26 – Saturday, Nov. 28: Thanksgiving

  • ü  Monday, Dec. 21 – Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010: Winter recess
