R.A.D. is a 12-hour program that begins with risk awareness, prevention, reduction, and risk avoidance and progresses to the basics of hands-on defense training. For women only! The RAD program was created to teach women how to defend themselves against rape aggression. The self-defense techniques taught in this course are practical, and students will have the opportunity to use the techniques they have learned in a full contact simulated assault scenario held the last day of class. RAD has a lifetime return and practice policy – once you take a RAD class and become part of the largest women’s self-defense network, you can attend any RAD class in the USA and/or Canada for free. http://www.palomar.edu/ads/campusPolice/rad.htm My daughter Chrissy and my granddaughter Hannah took the
R.A.D. class with me. Officer Monika Forest is the perfect person to teach this class. She is patient, polite, fun, knowledgeable and a professional police officer. She is an excellent instructor. I'm looking forward to taking the advance R.A.D. class with her. |
