Welcome! I’m glad that we will be sharing this part of your educational journey. I look forward to working with each one of you. The following course policies and procedures are designed for you and your classmates to get the maximum benefits from our time together.
Course Description:
The study of fibers, yarns fabrics, finishes, and dyes as they are used in textile products for apparel and related products.
Required Textbook:
Fabric Science Swatch Kit by J.J. Puzzuto. Fairchild Publications. New York, New York 1998, 7th edition.
Textiles by Kadolph and Langford. Prentice-Hall, 9th edition
Class Policies
1. Please, be prompt class starts at 11:00. Make sure that all mobile phones and pagers are turned off. If you are late please pick-up any handouts during break and get any notes from your classmates. If you miss any quizzes there will be no make-ups. Any student who misses 3 classes will be dropped from the course.
2. All assignments are to be typed, doubled spaced, font size 14 in Times New Roman.
3. Each student needs to have access to a computer with Internet hook-up. Please take advantage of the technology lab if you do not have a computer available to you at home.

25%- Final Exam 20%- Labs
20%- Exams 7.5%- Oral Presentation
20%- Quizzes 7.5%- Oral Participation
