Graphics Compression Assignment
Check out the “Optimizing Web Graphics” tutorial at http://webreference.com/dev/graphics/index.html to get a good handle on the situation at hand.

Now for the assignment.

Graphics Compression:
Develop a pdf files that detail the different characteristics and outcomes of using compression on graphics.

This project consists of 6 images that are to be compressed:

Image size should be 100x300 pixels at 72 ppi since they would be posted on the web. Each image is to have 3 variations that use various formats along with detailed descriptions of the compression settings used. Choose the proper formats that yield the best balance of small file size and high quality. Keep in mind that such a solution is often quite allusive. Some of the images (such as the organic landscape photograph) might have all three versions using the same file format - JPEG. Most of the time, however, the variations should include other formats with which to compare. The layout will consist of the three compressed versions of an image per page. Thus you will end up with 6 pdf pages with 3 variations on each page.
