Multimedia Players
Students will be assigned groups in order to complete this project. The report consists of a 5-10 page paper which details the characteristics and features of one of the three main media players: QuickTime, Real, or Windows Media Player.

Note on Plagiarism

"When using another person's words, to avoid plagiarism one must always do both of the following:

  1. provide a citation, either in the text or in a footnote, and
  2. either enclose their words inside quotation marks or put their words in a block of indented, single-spaced text."

Make sure you give proper credit to the original sources. You wouldn't believe how easy it is to find out if a student is plagiarizing someone else's work. There is specific software made for such a task.

 

Need Help Writing?
The English Department Writing Lab in room S-1 is open for the semester. Tutors are available from 8am to 4pm Monday through Thursday to help with any stage of the writing process. These tutors are experienced at helping students brainstorm ideas, support their arguments, and organize their writing. The lab coordinator, Cyndi Spencer, schedules 20 minute one-on-one sessions with students and tutors, and she can be reached at extension 2778.
