DESCRIPTION
This is a four unit, sixteen week class in which students will learn about the comprehensive range of print, Web, and multimedia features in Adobe Acrobat and InDesign for creating and distributing electronic documents reliably and securely.

OUTCOMES
After taking this course, students will be able to produce and edit PDF files in Acrobat; navigate and search documents; create accessible PDF files; interface with other software products; produce PDF forms; define terminology and identify workflow procedures for prepress, distribution, and publishing implementing Acrobat.

This class is a hybrid class that meets once a week with hands-on introduction to interactive douments. We will be using blackboard to communicate for the on-line portion of the class.

Acrobat.com is a suite of web applications from Adobe Systems that allows users to create, collaborate on and share documents, tables, and presentations; hold online meetings with others; convert files to PDF online; upload and share a variety of files with others; and manage and collaborate in online workspaces. The website offers services for file storage and sharing, workspaces, buzzword word processor, tables, presentations and ConnectNow online meetings. All of these services are available for free, with some limitations.
