Human Physiology T/Th 0800 - 1220 NS-243 Lecture and Lab

Human Physiology as taught at Palomar College consists of 3 hours per week of lecture and 6 hours per week of laboratory.  The lecture portion of the course addresses human physiology using the systems approach.  The laboratory portion uses the PowerLab computer system to investigate, collect and analyze data from 'hands on' laboratory exercises. Following departmental guidelines classroom and library research is an integral part of this course. Students are expected to meet the course prerequisites of a college level course in chemistry and biology. This course, as indicated by the course number level 200 is not designed for the entry level science student, but rather for the more advanced student with basic biological and chemical backgrounds. It meets the physiology requirement for entry into the Palomar College Nursing Program.
