AIS 120: INDIANS OF THE AMERICAS

TESTS

1. Midterm Exam: This is an online open book test that will cover the notes and readings from I. through III. You may print the test and take it offline,  then come back and post it in Blackboard. Once the test is graded it is complete. The test will consist of fill in, terms and essay questions.

2. Final Exam: This is also an online open book test but will cover the notes and readings from IV. through V. Therefore this is not a comprehensive final. The above rules and format apply.

Strategies for preparation. As in any college course you will want to create a notebook, print some of the lecture summaries (e.g. not all the embedded links) and read the assigned text material. I would recommend putting notes into the lecture summaries rather than underlining the text pages. Since the tests are open book you can use indexes or Google to help with information. Be careful since spellings and accuracy can vary, especially in American Indian Studies. Bias, ignorance and misinformation abound in our field.
