John,
Weld 100 would be the best class to start with. Then the process class, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW.
Weld 135, Weld 136, and Weld 108. Certified welders need more than welding skills and these other classes will provide them.
mr. miller, im already certified in SMAW & FCAW. im interested in obtaining a 6-G pipe certification.Do i register directly at polomar college for the spring semester? And i would like to know how much i need to pay for the course. Thank you for your time.
I am a job coach for Employment and Community Options based in San Diego. We work with the developmentally disabled with the goal of teaching life skills, where needed, but also helping them develop the skills needed to work in a field of interest, if able. My participant is more than capable of learning a trade, and his interest is in metalworking. He has set the goal of beginning classes in the spring of 2012.
Much appreciated, Ann
The cost of tuition, 50 dollar material fee, and cost of equipment.
Please consult the college catalog for tuition and the welding supply for cost of equipment.
Are there night classes available in the welding course?
Roger,
Yes, we have a night class this summer and big time during the regular year. Try for Weld 100, 135, and 108 first.
would like to know general information
Consult the college catalog and schedule of classes.
There is noticeably a bundle to know about this. I assume you made certain nice points in capabilities also
Yes, there is a great deal to know about welding than “just put a little weld on it”. Sign up for Weld 100 and get started. Hope to see you.
JM
Hi Mr. Miller,
What classes do I need to take to become a certified welder? Approximately how long does the whole process take?
Thanks,
John

Yes, register at the college and sign up for welding as soon as possible. The classes fill rather quickly.
Consult the college catalog on fees.
