Passionate Sunset
by Rebecca Hamilton
Gently the sun kisses the lip of the earth starting the fire with a warm
loving glow that blankets the blue sky above. Slowly, as the golden orb
descends in to darkness the hills seem brushed with flames while clouds dance
overhead like golden tipped roses in an exquisite bouquet. Carefully the
brilliant sun creeps affectionate tendrils across the ruby sky caressing with
fiery love as it dips deeper into regions beyond the sight like a bee dipping
into a flower to find the sweet nectar. Quietly the twinkling stars peek out
one by one as flowers growing in tender love as the colors of the expanse
above deepens into dark blues and purples. Still the sky holds a sliver of
gold as the ardent sun disappears across the apparent crevice of the earth in
a wonderful burst of guided fireworks that light the now black velvet sky for
one more lasting moment. And quietly we lay together, hearts beating, with the
amazing splendor of the world.
