Here I stand upon life's knoll just watching it stream by

All safe and trouble free am I, feel no pain, no love, no high

The tears I've saved and hid away keep filling up my mind

All sealed from light, I know my heart won't find

Heartbeats of sorrows pain imbed and try to break inside

They fall away without a taste , my tears remain and hide

The loves I've lost and seen pass by, form a mist and thumb a ride

Alone my soul knows no peach It's waiting for the morning tide

The future looms before my eyes, can't see for all is dim

My feet they move and loose their grip , fall, I pray they swim

The trials of life they pull me down and claw my breath away

It holds me in it's lustful grip, all's lost I've gone astray

Hands alight and shining eyes break through this hold I'm in

They pull me free and hug me tight, sorrow fades let love begin

If only for a while this lasts, I'm sure it's not a sin

Show me how to live again, it's far from where I've been
