The
twin sisters sit
patiently
never slouching
always sure to maintain
excellent posture.
Their glossy patent leather
is well kept
and their chins held up so high
their arrogance can’t be mistaken.
But even in all their splendor
the sisters have never known
what their conversation might
sound like
if they were escorted
out of the closet
and into
the empty tiled hallway.
