We invite ALL Palomar students to join our local PTK chapter! There are ongoing opportunities for leadership, academic challenge, and addressing social justice issues in our community. To get started, please feel free to join our Canvas class, the instructions are below. you can enroll at this link . Everyone is welcome.

This fall semester we will be meeting on Thursdays at 3:00 PM and Fridays at 5pm via Zoom. Both meetings are optional, but we encourage you to join us! You can access our Zoom meetings from the home page of our Canvas Course –

Welcome to PTK for Spring 2020

Come join us and learn about Phi Theta Kappa!  All students are welcome to attend meetings, regardless of GPA.  Our meetings will be held every Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:00 pm in NS-135.

Phi Theta Kappa is the Honor Society at Palomar College.  Students in Phi Theta Kappa work to improve their academic success through activities such as research projects, leadership conferences, and engagement in the community.  Every student is invited and open to come to our weekly meetings and join our activities.  Students who have completed 12 units at Palomar and obtained a GPA of 3.5 or higher can officially join PTK International which has multiple benefits associated with the organization.  Please check your email (both personal and student email) for an official invitation from PTK International if you meet eligibility requirements.  However here at Palomar we want to include all students regardless of units or GPA.  Please consider joining us for our weekly meetings or feel free to stop by just to learn a little bit more about PTK.  You can also reach out to our PTK advisors at  Below are some of the activities we will be participating in this semester.

Last Meeting for Spring 2019!

This upcoming week will be the last meeting for Spring of 2019 for Alpha Omega Rho. During this meeting we will be discussing the official meeting time for the Fall 2019 semester, and we will also be holding the Presidential Elections!

You must be at the meeting this Monday, May 13th, in order to:

  • Contribute to determine our next meeting times for Fall 2019
  • Vote for Alpha Omega Rho’s 2019-2020 President.

The meeting will be held this Monday, in the Humanities building (H-building) room H-112 from 4:30 – 5:30 PM. H-112 is located in the reading lab.

PTK Shoe Drive

The Palomar Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is running a shoe drive from October 8 – December 15 to support the Palomar College Foundation.

Make an impact by donating your gently-worn shoes today! Donations can be made in the yellow and green boxes located around Palomar College campuses. The shoes donated will help individuals affected by natural disasters around the globe and all proceeds will be donated towards Palomar student scholarships and academic success.

Shoe donations can also be made at this year’s Monster Dash and Bash fundraising event.
