Textbooks
Because the techniques and technology for Graphic Communications evolves rapidly, check with the updated class syllabus at the beginning of the semester for details about the selected textbook. Textbooks are usually available to order from online bookstores. Sometimes the Online Databases from the Palomar College Library will give you the ability to view the textbook while online. Many of the titles used in the GC Department may be found via the Safari Tech Books Online link toward the bottom of this page.

Official College Bookstore
Located in the Student Union, the official college bookstore is eFollett. It stocks textbooks required for classes, supplies, even apparel with the Palomar Logo!
Software
No software purchase is generally necessary, since the relevant applications are already installed on the computers in the various laboratories. Instruction over the Internet is likely to require purchase of the software, although Internet students are welcome to use the software on campus laboratory computers. Students who wish to purchase the software for work off-campus are encouraged to check with their instructor prior to purchase to ensure compatibility of the finished product.
If you decide to invest in software to install on your own machine, don’t ignore the savings (up to 80% off list price!) available to college students.
