Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC)
IGETC courses will guide you in choosing classes which fulfill lower-division general education requirements for transfer to a California State University (CSU) or University of California (UC) campus. Completeing IGETC courses at a community college and certifying completion will meet lower-division general education requirements at your transfer institution. California State University (CSU)
These courses fulfill lower-division general education breadth requirements for transfer to any CSU. GE Breadth requires a minimum of 39 lower-division semester units, which may be certified by California Community Colleges. Partial certification may be granted by Area or full certification may be granted if all areas and units are completed. Associate of Arts/Science (AA/AS)
These courses fulfill lower-division general education requirements for the AA/AS degree. Additional information is available on the Planning Your Pathway - General Education page.
