Palomar College Learning For Success

Do you struggle with life and/or college stress? Do you feel like you are juggling too many things? Feeling  sad, possibly depressed? You are not alone. College students often experience stressors while trying to balance the demands of their personal and academic lives. Without help, problems can intensify, impacting overall wellness and academic success.  College life can generate academic, emotional, and social concerns. Everyone experiences them; but at times these concerns can make it difficult to function. It is a sign of intelligence, courage, and strength to recognize when you may need help. It is also the first step in solving any difficulty.

Behavioral Health Counseling Services (BHCS) is a safe place to talk with someone privately about any concern. This may include stress, loneliness, anxiety, depression, adjustment challenges, relationship difficulties, managing an existing behavioral health condition, questions about identity, or other issues. We provide short-term mental health services and referrals to currently enrolled students at no cost.

Our goal is to help students benefit fully from the college experience by supporting their personal, social, and emotional well-being. Our confidential and culturally sensitive services include counseling, crisis intervention, outreach and prevention. In addition, we provide consultation and referrals to students and faculty/staff.
