Leonard has worked as a professional singer, musician, actor, and composer in San Diego for many years and has been a familiar face in many Lamb’s Players Theatre productions including San Diego’s longest running original musical MIXTAPE, Hello Dolly, Godspell, Boomers, Festival of Christmas, and Pump Boys and Dinettes. Recently, Leonard was a part of the acclaimed and award-nominated play, Father Comes Home From The Wars with Intrepid Theatre. Leonard holds the first master’s degree in jazz studies from SDSU as a vocalist. Leonard is currently working with two-time Grammy winning producer, Kamau Kenyatta (Gregory Porter), on a new recording project. On August 8, 2017, Leonard, along with his group, attempted and broke the Guinness world record for the most concerts in 24 hours (70)…all to garner attention for his new nonprofit, Jazz Vocal Workshop.
