Season Launch Party!

Palomar Performing Arts is Celebrating our 30th Anniversary with You!

Join our Palomar Performing Arts Family on September 11th at 6pm for a virtual Happy Hour and Concert celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the creation of the Performing Arts Department and the launch of our
2020 Fall Season!

Bring along one of our signature cocktails (recipes below)… or one of your own favorite cocktails (or mock-tail) and join us in this celebration of all that the Palomar Performing Arts has been to our campus and our community for the past 30 seasons. Look for faces from the past and present and enjoy a concert with the exciting sounds of Tom Griesgraber performing on the Chapman Stick.

Tom Griesgraber is one of the world’s most respected players of the Chapman Stick; an unusual instrument with six guitar strings and six bass strings that is played more like a piano. Tom’s performances frequently stop uninitiated listeners in their tracks as the layers of guitar, bass and keyboard-like sounds coming from this one instrumentalist often seem too big to be real.
Tom tours frequently as a headliner and an opener for acts like The California Guitar Trio, Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel), Steve Morse, Andy Summers (The Police), Steve Hackett (Genesis), Tim Reynolds (Dave Matthews Band), Al Dimeola, Stanley Jordan, Paul Stanley and Paula Cole. He has performed four times for Grammy events and his albums have been selected among the yearly top recordings on the national radio show “Echoes,” and as editor’s picks in Guitar Player and Acoustic Guitar magazines.
